The next Rangers manager hunt continues with an announcement creeping closer as we head into the close-season.
Rangers are set for an overhaul of almost biblical proportions this summer with Andrew Cavenagh set to take the Ibrox reins and a new Rangers manager set to be appointed.
Davide Ancelotti has made his Rangers intentions clear, with several other high profile names linked to the position at Rangers.
But one would-be target is reportedly destined elsewhere, as a Manchester United legend sits with his head on the chopping block.

Rangers target Russell Martin set for Leicester City?
Russell Martin has been named as one of the leading contenders to take the manager’s job at Rangers.
Whilst the former Swansea and Southampton manager is not a popular choice amongst Rangers fans, the likes of Andy Halliday have backed Martin as a smart choice.
But with Rangers seemingly setting their sights elsewhere, Martin has emerged as the frontrunner to take over at Leicester City.
Now, TalkSPORT are reporting that the Foxes are set to sack Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy after he guided them to Premier League relegation.

The report claims that Martin, 39, is primed to replace the legendary Dutchman at the King Power Stadium, even despite the interest from Rangers.
Why Russell Martin apologised to Rangers fans back in 2023
Russell Martin might be carving out a solid name for himself as a manager south of the border.
But if the former defender’s last stint at Rangers is anything to go by, the Ibrox side will do well to avoid a deal.
Martin joined Rangers on a six month loan deal back in 2018 and had such a disastrous six month stint in Glasgow that he wound up apologising to Rangers fans!
Back when Michael Beale launched a bid for Morgan Whittaker during his time at Swansea, Martin was in charge of the Welsh outfit.
With the Swans knocking back two bids from the Gers, Martin apologised to the Rangers support but not for the rejections.
Rather the club’s former defender held his hands up over a six month spell in Glasgow that the former Scotland international would probably rather forget.
“I’ve had Rangers fans message me on LinkedIn saying let him go,” said Martin in February 2023.
”I apologised to them saying ‘sorry I was c—- at your club but it’s not my decision’.”
