Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has been warned by Saudi Pro League admirers Al-Hilal that he has until Thursday to make a final call on whether he is prepared to complete a lucrative move from Old Trafford after they have lodged their final contract offer, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.
The Red Devils missed out on clinching silverware during the 2024/25 campaign, with them allowing Tottenham Hotspur to end their 17-year wait for a trophy in the Europa League final last week, and that has resulted in head coach Ruben Amorim looking to make adjustments to his squad when the transfer window reopens.
Matheus Cunha has edged towards becoming Manchester United's first acquisition in preparation for next term, with a verbal agreement in place ahead of a £62.5million switch from Premier League counterparts Wolverhampton Wanderers, but they are in danger of seeing captain Fernandes head through the exit door.

Fernandes has been handed a deadline to make a decision on whether he is prepared to depart Manchester United in favour of a move to Al-Hilal, according to GMS sources, with the Saudi Arabian big-spenders giving him until Thursday before they want clarity on the possibility of being able to secure his services.
The creative midfielder conceded after the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham that he could not guarantee that he would remain with the Red Devils heading into next season, with influential figures potentially seeing the summer transfer window as an ideal time to cash in to aid a squad revamp.
GMS sources have been informed that Al-Hilal have submitted a final contract offer worth in the region of £700,000-per-week in a bid to entice Fernandes away from Manchester United, while he would stand to pocket close to £65million each season when the accommodation, flights, signing-on fee and potential individual and match bonuses are factored in.
Bruno Fernandes' statistics since joining Manchester United
The 30-year-old Portugal international has been described as a 'legend' by Red Devils boss Amorim and there is a desire within Old Trafford to keep him in his current surroundings as they aim to recover from a season which has seen them fail to seal European qualification and finish in the bottom half of the Premier League.
Al-Hilal have refused to give up on their pursuit of Fernandes, GMS sources have learned, but Manchester United are confident that he will stay at Old Trafford and that has led to there being an intention to move onto alternative targets after Thursday as they are determined to secure marquee names before competing in the fast-approaching Club World Cup.

GMS sources have been told that Al-Hilal's push to sign Fernandes is being driven by president Fahad bin Nafel, thanks to central dealmakers not being asked to get involved in negotiations at this stage, and there is an awareness that they can afford him due to being able to take advantage of the funds initially set aside to land Mohamed Salah from Liverpool.
The Saudi Pro League side were prepared to hand the Egyptian a deal which would have seen him secure wages worth £510million over three years, but he opted to pen a two-year extension on Merseyside and that resulted in plans being put in place to use the money to raid arch-rivals Manchester United.
Al-Hilal also have Napoli frontman Victor Osimhen, Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans and Inter Milan fan favourite Nicolo Barella on their radar, GMS sources understand, while Fulham chief Marco Silva's snub has led to Simone Inzaghi being identified as their top managerial target even though he will not decide on his future until after the Champions League final.

GMS sources recently revealed that Fernandes has been the subject of two non-binding offers as his suitors aim to get the deal over the line as they prepare to get their Club World Cup campaign underway against Real Madrid, but he is in a race against time to decide whether he wants to leave Manchester United.
