The Pacers did something in Game 3 they have rarely done this postseason. took their foot off the gas. They allowed the New York Knicks to rebound from a 20-point deficit and pull out the Game 3 win. Tonight’s Game 4 is critical for both teams. The Pacers don’t want to lose home-court advantage, and the Knicks don’t want to head back to Madison Square Garden down 3-1. Rick Carlisle knows the importance of tonight’s Game 4 for both teams. He also discussed what he didn’t like about the team’s performance in Game 3.
> “The third quarter, we lost by three points. That’s not the end of the world. The fourth, we lost 36-20. We had a lot of breakdowns defensively. Before you know it, it was a one possession game. At that point, it’s anybody’s game.” – Rick Carlisle on what went wrong in Game 3’s second half

> “He was still quite sore yesterday. He’s a game-time decision.” – Rick Carlisle on Aaron Nemsith’s status tonight
