A number of Chelsea players have really earned their opportunity to feature in the Champions League next season.
It would have been a travesty to see Moises Caicedo miss out on the chance to face Europe’s best sides following his excellent individual campaign.
Caicedo is one of only two unsellable players at the club at the moment, with them usually taking the stance that any of them are available should an extortionate offer come in.
Even rival fans have begun to recognise just how good the Ecuadorian is. Manchester United fans were in awe of Caicedo after he lined up against them in the penultimate game of the season.
For that reason, many would have him in any team of the season for the Premier League from the 24/25 campaign.

Moises Caicedo snubbed as one Chelsea player makes Premier League Team of the Season
However, WhoScored did not include the midfielder in their team, with only one Chelsea player making the cut.
That honour went to Cole Palmer, even after his underwhelming final few weeks of the season that required others to step up in front of goal.

The England international was the second highest rated player in the team, only coming in behind former Blue Mohamed Salah.
There was also no room for the likes of Marc Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez, who both enjoyed their best individual seasons since making the switch to Stamford Bridge.

Caicedo a big fan of Palmer
Caicedo and Palmer have arguably been Chelsea’s most important players under Enzo Maresca, shown by the fact they have started near enough every game they have been available for.
The pair’s relationship on the pitch has drastically improved over time too, with them now having a great understanding of what each other want to be doing.
Caicedo said: “We know both Cole and Enzo are spectacular players and every day in training, we understand each other better and we already know where each other is located.
“I think, more than anything, talking is important and I think it’s more about just looking at each other and knowing where the other player will be.”
Both will be looking forward to moving closer to legendary status at Chelsea when they get the chance next season to feature in the Champions League for the first time at Stamford Bridge.
