Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman believes Kieran McKenna has a excellent chance to lead Ipswich Town to another Premier League promotion next season.
The EFL veteran says he can't see the highly-rated young Town boss getting offered a top tier job this summer, unlike last year when McKenna was heavily linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and Brighton before signing a new deal.

But Goodman sees that as a positive, with McKenna able to focus on leading the Blues back to the promised land instead.

(Image: PA) "Kieran McKenna will look at the Ipswich Town squad and next season's Championship and think he will have another excellent opportunity to win automatic promotion again," he told FruityKing.
"I can't see him getting offered a Premier League job in the summer and, therefore, he's in the best place possible to progress his career.
"It might be a different situation if an offer comes in from abroad but Ipswich Town are well set to make another push for automatic promotion and I would imagine Kieran McKenna will want to lead that."
One man who does look certain to leave Suffolk this summer is striker Liam Delap, who bagged 12 goals in an outstanding debut season in the Premier League.

But, while Delap picks his next home from a long list of suitors, Goodman says he can't see any other key talent departing.

"Apart from Liam Delap, I can't see Ipswich having to sell any players in the summer," Goodman opined.
"I don't think any of the rest of their squad did enough consistently to warrant other Premier League teams making offers for them.
"The players will back themselves to win promotion again and will be better for the experience they've had in the Premier League.
"They will have seen and learned what the required levels are. There is a lot of good stuff that has come out of Ipswich Town this season despite relegation.
"I would imagine the only player they will lose in the summer, that they’d want to keep, is Liam Delap."
