Green Bay Packers ‘Most Underrated’ Player Could Make Major Leap in 2025

The Green Bay Packers have done a masterful job of building an exciting young core around exciting young quarterback Jordan Love.

From collecting young and exciting receivers such as first-round rookie Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, and Jayden Reed to tight end playmaker extraordinaire, Tucker Kraft, Love has a plethora of big-play options built to maximize his arm-strength and downfield accuracy.

One of those top pass catchers could rise the rankings at his position, while raising the ceiling for the Packers’ offense in 2025.

Green Bay Packers’ Tucker Kraft Tabbed as ‘Most Underrated’

Green Bay Packers Tucker Kraft

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (85) is tackled by Miami Dolphins linebacker Tyrel Dodson (11) after a short reception during the second quarter of their game Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Kraft, 24, is coming off one of the most impressive seasons of his career, catching 50 passes for 707 yards and seven touchdowns, career-highs in each pivotal category.

But, as Kraft enters his third season, Bleacher Report NFL analyst Gary Davenport lists the dynamic tight end as the most underrated player on the Packers’ roster.

“There are three groups of tight ends in the NFL,” Davenport writes for B/R. “There are the long-time stalwarts like Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Mark Andrews of the Baltimore Ravens. There are young stars like Brock Bowers of the Las Vegas Raiders and Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals. And then there are a whole lot of “maybes” who are hoping to work their way over to the cool kids’ table.

“Of that group, Green Bay’s Tucker Kraft may have the best odds of making that leap. He had the seventh-most receiving yards (707) and tied for the fourth-most touchdowns among tight ends (7) in 2024.”

Last season, Kraft’s connection with Love as undeniable, as the 26-year-old quarterback had an otherworldly 134.6 passer rating when targeting the tight end who dropped just two passes all season.

If Kraft can build on that performance, and he should benefit from Golden’s field-stretching ability, Green Bay’s offense is going to make some big strides and Kraft is going to climb into that top tier of tight ends Davenport listed.
