After seven weeks of holding their breath, Michigan fans can exhale: Yaxel Lendeborg is officially withdrawing from the NBA Draft and heading to Michigan.
The UAB big man committed to the Wolverines in early April but has been going through the NBA Draft process since, participating in workouts and the NBA Draft Combine and emerging as a potential first-round pick. After weeks of noise and speculation, Lendeborg made things official today by withdrawing from the NBA Draft.
It’s an off-season-defining recruiting win for Dusty May that raises expectations in his second year in charge. Lendeborg is a consensus top-three transfer in college basketball and one of the highest-rated pro prospects to pull out of the 2025 NBA Draft.
Here’s what Lendeborg’s decision means for Michigan’s roster, program, and the upcoming season.
