It is unknown whether or not Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo will be requesting a trade from the franchise this offseason. He will have a few years remaining on his contract.

If Antetokounmpo does move on from the Bucks this offseason, it will be interesting to see what kind of trade general manager Jon Horst could potentially pull off. However, with the way the landscape of the NBA is currently at, there is a chance that Milwaukee is able to hang onto Giannis for another NBA season and make an attempt to make another run at it. He will hold a lot of cards for other teams in the NBA offseason.
NBA Insider Reports That Other NBA Teams Are Starting To Put Trade Pitches Together For Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo

NBA insider Marc Stein reported that other NBA teams are trying to put together trade packages for the Bucks superstar player despite not requesting a trade yet. Stein said,
“It remains unclear, furthermore, if he ultimately will or he won’t (request a trade). The only certainty to emerge in the 27 days since the Bucks last played a game: Teams are quietly lining up to make trade pitches for the 30-year-old if he becomes available … without waiting to see if they land on the widely anticipated list of preferred destinations that Antetokounmpo would be expected to furnish if he indeed reaches that point.”
There are some teams who would have more to offer for Antetokounmpo than others. Three teams to potentially watch for in the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes will be the Houston Rockets, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the San Antonio Spurs. The Brooklyn Nets are another NBA team to potentially watch out for in this situation.
If Antetokounmpo does not request a trade, the trade machines involving Antetokounmpo can be put to bed for now. However, if not, then those trade machines will be being used. If Milwaukee does move off of him this offseason, then they will try and fix the roster the best they can in order to contend during the 2025-2026 NBA season.
