Man United star given deadline to make decision on future

Manchester United begin their post-season tour of Asia on Wednesday.

The Red Devils endured a woeful campaign but did end the season positively with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Despite that result, Ruben Amorim’s side still finished 16th in the Premier League table and will therefore miss out on a place in European competition next season.

This summer is set to be a busy one at Old Trafford, with Amorim and those in charge of the club likely to want to make changes to the squad ahead of next season.

With that in mind, it appears that the Manchester club could soon lose one of their most important players.

According to GiveMeSport, midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been told that he has until Thursday to make a decision on whether or not to move to Saudi Arabia.

The report claims that Pro League side Al-Hilal have tabled an extremely lucrative offer for the Portugal international, but have informed him that he must make a decision in the next 72 hours.

It is claimed that Al-Hilal have offered the 30-year-old a staggering £700,000-per-week to complete a move to the Middle East.

Fernandes joined United from Portuguese side Sporting CP in 2020 and has since played 290 times for the club across all competitions, scoring 98 goals and registering 87 assists.

He is under contract at Old Trafford until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but the report suggests that those in charge of the club could be willing to cash in on the midfielder during the upcoming transfer window.

While Al-Hilal have so far refused to give up in their pursuit of Fernandes, it is claimed that the Saudi side could move onto other potential transfer targets if the Portuguese decides against the proposed move.
