“Planning To Report To Mandatory Minicamp”: Insider Announces Surprising Green Bay Packers…

The Green Bay Packers biggest offseason story has been whether or not cornerback Jaire Alexander is going to return to the team in 2025. Alexander has been injured for the last couple of years for the Packers.

Some thought that he was going to be released or traded already, but that has not obviously happened. Training camp is not far around the corner but before training camp is mandatory minicamp. The Packers will have mandatory minicamp from June 10-12. Will Alexander show up to this event or will he be absent?

Matt Schneidman of the Athletic reported the latest on Alexander on Tuesday morning by saying,

“Jaire Alexander is planning to report to mandatory minicamp and the Packers have offered Alexander a restructured contract. However, no full resolution at this time.”

He has two years remaining on his contract. Alexander is 28 years old. He recorded 16 tackles, two interceptions, one touchdown, and seven pass deflections. If Alexander does indeed report to minicamp and does make the roster out of training camp, it will be interesting to see what he can do for the 2025 season for Green Bay.

For now, he is projected to be one of the starting cornerbacks on the roster along with Nate Hobbs. Keisean Nixon is expected to be the third cornerback on the roster. Alexander will be someone to keep an eye on during mandatory minicamp and also training camp before the start of the 2025 NFL season.
