Manchester United’s worst-ever Premier League campaign has finally come to an end, with Sunday’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa bringing down the curtain on a truly dismal year.
The Red Devils finished 15th in the table, their lowest recorded league position in modern history, following a season plagued by inconsistency, injuries, and underwhelming performances.
Amid the chaos, one of the few bright sparks has been Amad Diallo, who continues to go from strength to strength.

The 22-year-old winger scored the winner in United’s 2-1 victory away at Manchester City earlier this season.
He has shown promising qualities under Ruben Amorim, even showing his flexibility filling in as a right wing-back in the Portuguese coach’s 3-4-3 system.
Diallo is said to be one of the ‘irreplaceable’ stars under Amorim, as the Red Devils look to build for the long-term this summer.
His efforts off-the-pitch are now being noticed too.
Amad Diallo wins PFA Community Champion Award
The club have confirmed via their official website that Amad has been awarded the PFA Community Champion award by the Manchester United Foundation, recognising his inspirational work off the pitch throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
The accolade celebrates Amad’s consistent involvement in Foundation projects.
From Black History Month workshops to school visits and charity events, where he helped inspire young people across Greater Manchester.
His contribution included attending a Christmas lunch with Manchester United’s Disabled Supporters’ Association (MUDSA).
As well as supporting ‘Dream Days’ – where he met with fans suffering from life-limiting illnesses.
“I’m so happy to have received this award,” Amad said.
“I’ve really enjoyed visiting schools in the community, seeing the kids and putting smiles on faces.
“It’s important for me as a Manchester United player to give back and help give some advice to the children for the future.
“It’s great to work closely with the Foundation and see the impact it has on the lives of young people across Manchester.”

Maya Le Tissier, captain of the Manchester United Women’s team, was also recognised with the same award for her efforts, particularly in encouraging young girls to pursue football and education.
Both players were presented with the award by students from Foundation partner schools during a special event at Carrington, honouring their dedication to the community.
PFA CEO Maheta Molango added: “The PFA has, once again, been immensely proud of the outstanding efforts of players this season.
“The award will hopefully raise awareness of the importance many of our members attach to their roles off the pitch.”
While United fans will be desperate to forget this season, Amad’s recognition offers a reminder of the positive impact footballers can make beyond the pitch.
