Myles Turner Named ‘Clear Fit’ For 2 Championship Teams

For the last several years, there have been numerous rumors about Myles Turner possibly leaving the Indiana Pacers.

Even with the team doing so well in the playoffs right now, speculation is still running rampant about the talented big man.

Writing for ESPN, Kevin Pelton talked about Turner and where he could end up if the Pacers decide to move him.

He said the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors need to be considered, even though they’d have a tough path to acquiring Turner.

“[Myles] Turner has featured in trade rumors so long that he has been linked to just about every team in need of a starting center. A sign-and-trade would be complicated for the Warriors and the Lakers, but both franchises are clear fits in the unlikely event the Pacers and Turner can’t strike a deal,” Pelton wrote.

The Lakers and Warriors have both been in the hunt for a young and reliable big man.

That is especially true for the Lakers, who have been trying to find a post-Anthony Davis identity in the Luka Doncic era.

They would have to move around a lot of players and assets, but they could get a deal done.

The same is true for the Warriors, although they may never get the chance.

Turner has earned his spot in the Pacers’ rotation, and they might want to keep him long into the future.

Even with the trade rumors swirling around him, he has repeatedly shown up when the team has needed him most.

The Pacers will have to be careful with how they spend their money, but they would be wise to think about doing what it takes to keep Turner.

If not, these two teams will be just some of the franchises looking to woo him away.
