Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Julio Enciso has insisted he doesn’t know what the future holds for him this summer.
ABC Paraguay cover comments from the midfielder today after he returned to his homeland and was approached by journalists at the airport.
Enciso has spent the second half of this season on loan at Ipswich Town, leaving Brighton in order to seek playing time that wasn’t on offer with the Seagulls.
He’s been a regular with Kieran McKenna’s side in the second half of the campaign, although an injury limited his time on the pitch somewhat.
Ipswich’s relegation back to the Championship means a permanent deal is off of the table and he’s now returned to Brighton at the end of the season.
What happens next remains to be seen, with it unclear if the 21-year-old remains a part of their future plans after a busy summer of spending last year.
The midfielder’s contract also only runs until 2026, meaning a decision has to be made this summer regardless, but he insists he doesn’t know what the plans are at this moment in time.
“I’ll think about what I’m going to do later,” he said when asked about his Brighton future.
“I don’t know yet. I want to enjoy time with my family and then I’ll think about what I’m going to do.”
