Carmelo Anthony Sends Warning To Milwaukee Amid Trade Rumors

All eyes are currently on the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

There is a growing chance that Antetokounmpo leaves the Bucks either this summer or soon, and Milwaukee fans are curious and frightened to see what happens.

Speaking on “Podcast P” with Paul George, Carmelo Anthony talked about the Bucks losing Antetokounmpo, and he warned the team to be very careful because of how important the star is to the franchise.

“Giannis [Antetokounmpo] built Milwaukee. This new Milwaukee 2.0? Giannis built that. He won with that. He built that from the ground up. New arena, new environment—everything Milwaukee has shot up because of that. If they get rid of Giannis, Milwaukee is taking 15 years step back,” Anthony said.

Melo & PG believe Giannis will stay in Milwaukee despite all the rumors.

Anthony may be right, and the Bucks could be stepping back 15 years if they part ways with Antetokounmpo, but they might not have a choice.

If he wishes to head to a new team, they will have to oblige; otherwise, things could get very complicated and painful.

The Bucks will have to consider their options: keep a future Hall of Fame superstar, even though he wants to leave, or try to get what they can now in exchange for him.

Yes, losing Antetokounmpo would hurt, but the Bucks would try to make the most of his departure.

Most reports say Milwaukee would love to find a compromise with Antetokounmpo and discover a way to keep him on the team.

They will make just about any coaching and roster change in order to please him.

But if that doesn’t work, they will have to be realistic and weigh their options, even if it means saying goodbye to their one-in-a-million superstar.

The NBA is a business, and the Bucks and Antetokounmpo might have to put their feelings aside and do what is healthiest and best this summer, no matter how much it hurts.
