Long-time Chelsea target Karim Adeyemi has no intention of leaving Borussia Dortmund, according to German media.

The Germany international has been repeatedly linked with a departure from Dortmund over the past year. Adeyemi, who previously held the record as the Bundesliga's fastest-ever player, was being courted by Juventus last summer as well as Napoli and Chelsea in January.

Dortmund were reportedly ready to sell for a fee in the region of €50 million, but Adeyemi turned down both Juventus and Napoli, while talks with Chelsea never went beyond the initial stages.

Sky Germany now reports that Adeyemi rejected the moves to Serie A because he simply has no interest in moving to Italy at present. In fact, Adeyemi wants to stay in Germany and keep playing in the Bundesliga.

Despite fresh interest, the report states that Adeyemi has no plans to leave Dortmund this summer. On the contrary, he actually wants to extend his contract with the Black and Yellow as he is very happy with the direction of travel under new boss Niko Kovac.

Adeyemi snubs Chelsea

It is claimed that Napoli were willing to return for Adeyemi this summer as they remain in the market for a left-winger. Additionally, there has been renewed interest from Chelsea and Newcastle.

However, Adeyemi is looking to stay at Dortmund unless told otherwise by the club. As things stand, BVB are happy to keep the 23-year-old and are planning to open contract talks in the coming weeks.

In 20 games under Kovac so far, Adeyemi has scored seven goals and provided three assists, which has seen his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) reach a new peak of €41.5 million.

Intriguingly, data from SciSports suggests that Adeyemi should have at least considered a move to Napoli as he would have been an ideal fit for them. Newcastle, too, rank highly, while the decision to turn down Chelsea was a wise one as they only have a Club Fit rating of 63 out of 100.
