David Moyes is set for an exciting summer at Everton, with the backing of The Friedkin Group.

As the Toffees prepare to move to Bramley-Moore Dock, a new era is set to get underway and the new owners will be able to contribute more than what supporters have become used to.

Moyes is seemingly ready to go ambitious with his transfer targets too, with Jack Grealish having been linked with a move to Merseyside.

Perry Groves could see Grealish at Everton

Grealish’s role at Manchester City has been reduced for some time now, and it seems as though he is set to leave this summer.

Although he has made just seven Premier League starts this term, the 29-year-old was previously a standout in the former champions’ side.

The winger remains under contract at the Etihad Stadium, but Pep Guardiola seems to be more interested in other options.

As a result, several sides have turned their attention to a potential transfer this summer, with Everton being one of those clubs.

The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham have also been mentioned concerning Grealish’s future, but Perry Groves reckons Merseyside could be a good match.

When asked about the possibility of a move to Everton and the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Groves said live on talkSPORT (27 May, 14:57): “Yeah, absolutely and, as you say, going into Bramley-Moore Dock big new stadium. He would be like the marquee signing, and I think he thrives on that.”

Everton should try and seal Grealish deal

If Everton are serious about upping their standards next season, then this is just the kind of transfer they should be looking to strike.

While it may be ambitious, Grealish is someone on his way down from the very top and reaching the latter stages of his career, game time may be the main thing on his mind.

Therefore, as Groves says, going to a team like Everton, where he would have the opportunity to be the main man, could be beneficial to both parties.

The winger previously succeeded at Aston Villa, where he played a similar role and with regular minutes, there’s no reason why he wouldn’t reach similar standards.

A loan deal from Manchester City has been mooted too, which could work in Everton’s favour so this is definitely one for Moyes and TFG to stay on top of.

What a start to the new era this could be.
