One big casualty of Manchester United’s planned squad revamp this summer will be Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentine signed his own fate following the Europa League final defeat last week.
After getting just 20 minutes on the pitch over in Bilbao, Alejandro Garnacho spoke out, slamming the decision to bench him, while also hinting that his future was uncertain.
Following this, United in Focus reported that Garnacho already had one foot out the door at Old Trafford, having accepted that he has no place in Amorim’s team.
Then, on Saturday, it emerged that Ruben Amorim had told Garnacho to leave United in the summer, which was reinforced by the 20-year-old’s exclusion from the squad during the 2-0 win against Aston Villa.
Now, light has been cast onto the conversation at Carrington, which left Garnacho heading for the exit doors.

How Ruben Amorim brutally axed Alejandro Garnacho at Manchester United
Garnacho’s comments following the final defeat were the straw that broke the camel’s back, leaving Amorim no choice but to take drastic action against the winger who had a hot and cold season for United, as shown by SofaScore.

Now, it has been reported by the Mail Online that Garnacho left Amorim so angry that he told him in front of the entire squad that he must find a new club with a brutal 12-word statement.

“You better pray that you can find a club to sign you”, Amorim said to Garnacho, the report claims, in a manner that left the player and his teammates under no illusions over his future at the club.
This is a clear verdict from Amorim, who left no doubt and made an example of Garnacho, which will impact the entire squad, with nobody likely to undermine him in the future.
Ultimately, Amorim is completely in the right to do so, as it is not the first time that Garnacho has taken aim at his manager on social media.
Ruben Amorim is taking a leaf from Sir Alex Ferguson’s book
While this statement is absolutely brutal, it is the kind of reality check that this underperforming group of players has needed for years.
Amorim has taken a leaf out of Sir Alex Ferguson’s book by doing this, showing the squad nobody is untouchable.
This was also the case with Marcus Rashford, as the 27-year-old was axed by Amorim in January after failing to put in the effort levels required.
During his 26-year spell at United, Sir Alex put the club above the player numerous times, with David Beckham the most notable example coming to mind.
It may feel a little harsh, but it is exactly what this club needs to get the character and culture within the squad right.
