The procedure will repair two fractures he suffered during the season.
While the 36-year-old didn't share a specific recovery timeline, he said he's optimistic about returning to full strength "soon."
This isn't Westbrook's first battle with hand injuries. He had surgery on the same hand in 2014 to fix a fracture, and he also underwent procedures on his left hand in 2019 and 2024 for ligament damage and another fracture.
Westbrook appeared in 75 regular-season games (36 starts) this year, averaging 13.3 points, 6.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in 27.9 minutes per game.
He'll soon face a decision on his $3.47 million player option for the 2025-26 season.
