Mbeumo has been in excellent form this season

The 25-year-old has scored 20 goals and provided 8 assists in 38 league games, which is a very impressive record for a player who is deployed on the right wing.

Mbeumo’s stellar performances have not only attracted the attention of United, with Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool having also been linked with moves for the player in recent months.

Man United need to strengthen the right flank

One of the reasons why Mbeumo is likely being considered is his ability to play on the right of the front three. It is a position that the Red Devils have struggled with for several years.

Antony was signed for £86m in the summer of 2022 but he flattered to deceive during his time at Old Trafford. He is expected to leave on a permanent basis this summer after a successful loan spell at Real Betis.

United need to add goals on that side of the pitch and, whileAmad Diallo is definitely a strong option, he needs competition, which is something Mbeumo could provide.
