Manchester United’s squad overhaul plans are expected to intensify this summer, with every bit of income from loans and outgoing deals seen as vital in what will be a pivotal window.
As the club grapples with a 15th-place Premier League finish and no European football for next season, shifting high-earners and maximising add-on clauses in current agreements has become a key focus for INEOS and the recruitment team.

Among those to depart on loan in January was Antony, who joined Real Betis in a shock move that raised eyebrows given his £85 million price tag and inconsistent form in England.
The Brazilian has quietly gone about rebuilding his reputation in LaLiga, featuring heavily for Betis in both the league and Europe.
While also keeping himself in contention for a permanent move elsewhere to a bigger club.
And now, Manchester United are set to be rewarded.
Manchester United to receive financial boost should Real Betis win final
According to Mateo Gonzalez of ABC.es, Betis will have to pay United €150,000 after securing Europa League qualification via LaLiga.
A clause triggered by both their sixth-place finish and Antony playing at least half of the matches since joining.
With the Conference League final against Chelsea still to come, that figure could rise significantly.
If Betis win the final, they will owe United up to €365,000 in total due to a separate bonus clause tied to lifting the trophy and gaining Europa League qualification through it.
This payment absorbs the initial €150,000 clause, rather than adding to it.
Antony has been ever-present for Betis since his arrival, meaning all performance-related clauses in the loan agreement have been fully activated.

The Seville-based club only covered a reduced portion of his wages, with the total cost of the loan coming in at under €2 million.
A low-risk move that now edges towards success both on and off the pitch.
A Champions League qualification bonus was also written into the deal, but Betis fell short of that particular target.
The payments are scheduled to be made before July 10 as per ABC.es’ report, allowing both clubs to choose whether to allocate the figures into the 2024/25 or 2025/26 financial season.
As Betis sources reportedly put it, they’d be happy to pay the full amount.
If it means celebrating a European trophy.
