David Moyes has overseen a remarkable overhaul at Everton since he returned.
The 62-year-old came back to Goodison Park to replace Sean Dyche with the Blues hovering above the relegation zone.
Form drastically improved under the Scotsman and the Toffees finished in 13th place in the Premier League.
However, there are questions over whether he is the right man to lead the L4 outfit into the new era at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Friedkins set to keep Moyes at Everton for now
Moyes has exceeded expectations since he came back to Everton but his long-term future is a concern for some supporters, who do not believe he is the right man to take the Blues forward.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Iconic commentator Ian Darke believes that Moyes is safe now but the new owners could choose to move on in the near future.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, he said: “He has done a great job since he came back to Everton, he is unsackable at the moment, it would be a little bit crazy for Everton to veer off with the Friedkins and go in a different direction.
“Who knows what they might do because they have went through a few Roma managers in recent times, you know, they sacked club legend Daniele De Rossi at the start of the season.
“I think the Everton fans are not quite sure yet, what kind of owners they are going to be but I suspect David Moyes, he is an old school manager that likes to run the show, and it may be the Friedkins want the set up with the sporting director and the rest of it.
“Whether Moyes will fit into the set up that they want long-term, I don’t know, but the short answer is surely he is going to stay and be in charge next season at the new stadium after everything he has done, they would be crazy to fire him.”
Darke feels that Moyes is underrated because he is not a young up-and-coming coach and has a reputation as a defensive manager.
He said: “He suffered from that at West Ham, didn’t he, that is why he ended up leaving, won a European trophy, pretty good reign.
“But there is always that perception with him that he is not a sexy enough coach, and everybody wants a young whizz-kid kind of coach with innovative ideas but you have to be careful what you wish for.
“I think next season they have got to get into the new stadium, get themselves somewhere just above halfway and that would be a good season.
“They have got to do it in baby steps, it can’t all happen overnight, I understand Everton fans, might feel long-term that is where they want to get to, but I don’t think they can do it one leap.”

Moyes return is poetic for Everton
It is poetic that Moyes is leading the Toffees into the exciting new era under the Friedkins and there should be high expectations on what he can achieve.
Moyes consistently took the Blues into Europe in his first stint in the dugout, even qualifying for the Champions League in the 2004/05 campaign.
The new beginning should have the support of everybody involved, there should not be doubts over Moyes’ future until things go wrong, which so far, they have not.
