The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig, the team announced on Tuesday. He was at the team’s rookie minicamp two weeks ago, and is now earning a chance with the team.
He played his first four seasons at Colorado, with his best season coming in 2022 with the Buffaloes. That year, he posted 23 catches for 359 yards. Even in his last season at Arizona, Lemonious-Craig had just 17 receptions for 172 yards and one touchdown.
Over his five year career with college football, he had 79 receptions for 995 yards and nine touchdowns. He played a ton of special teams while in college on all units, including as a gunner, which will give him one leg up.
Lemonious-Craig is 6-foot-1, 191 pounds. He will wear No. 14 for the Steelers, which George Pickens previously wore before he was traded.
At Arizona’s pro day, he ran a 4.54 40-yard dash with a 35-inch vertical and 9-foot-9-inch broad jump. Lemonious-Craig also put up 14 reps on the bench press.
The Steelers have 91 players at their OTAs, with the additional spot being allowed because the team has an international exemption for outside linebacker Julius Welschof, who is from Germany.
