The New England Patriots have been busy as they start a new era under Mike Vrabel in 2025.
And with a busy offseason and NFL Draft, one scout believes they’ve done enough to make the Buffalo Bills sweat.
“This is the best offseason they’ve had in a while. I feel like they’re the Bills’ biggest threat,” a scout with ties to the AFC East told ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
“Look at the history of Vrabel’s teams — they’ll play hard and mirror his personality,” another scout told the Patriots insider.
The Patriots revamped their team on both sides of the ball including signing defensive tackle Milton Williams to the richest contract in franchise history. They also brought in Stefon Diggs as another weapon for second-year quarterback Drake Maye, and drafted offensive tackle Will Campbell with the No. 4 pick in this year’s draft. Campbell, whose arm length was questioned by several draft experts, has already become a fan-favorite with his attitude about how he plans to approach the season.
“You have to love violence to be able to play on the offense and defensive line, and that’s something that I like.” Campbell said in the first episode of “Forged in Foxborough.” “It’s a dog eat dog world. Whenever you’re going out there, it’s either you or him, and I want it to be me every time.”
The Patriots have finished 4-13 the last two seasons, while the Bills have made the playoffs in six consecutive seasons, including being AFC champions in four straight.
New England hasn’t made the postseason since 2021 and will look to get back to its winning ways with a revamped roster and under under Vrabel.
