Wolves are set to reject Manchester United's big-money offer for Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian forward played in his side's 1-1 draw with Brentford on Sunday, and appeared to wave goodbye to home fans at the final whistle.
A move to Old Trafford looked inevitable when news emerged that United were prepared to meet the star's £62.5million release clause. However, Molineux chiefs have now reportedly taken issue with the structure of United's proposed bid. As a result, they are set to turn down the offer in a huge blow to Ruben Amorim's transfer plans.
According to the BBC, Wolves are unhappy with United's proposal to pay Cunha's release release clause over a five year period. In his contract, any bidding club that meets the transfer fee is required to be paid it in full by the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
