Liverpool could look to complete a move for RB Leipzig star Castello Lukeba in the coming transfer window or beyond, according to reports - with the Reds wary over Ibrahima Konate's future as the Frenchman enters the final year of his contract.
Arne Slot's men have been busy already in the transfer market, with Jeremie Frimpong undergoing a medical on Merseyside, as well as deals for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez edging closer to completion as they look to reclaim next year's Premier League title - and that could see Lukeba join the club as he fits straight into their ethos.

Despite Liverpool tying the Dutchman down to a new two-year deal and being relaxed about their centre-back situation, more bad news could be on the horizon with Konate entering the final 12 months of his Anfield contract - and therefore, feelers are being put out once more as a contingency plan to replace the Frenchman should he depart, especially after being snubbed by Bournemouth's Dean Huijsen, who is set to join Real Madrid.
With that in mind, Liverpool are monitoring his compatriot Lukeba, and have asked for an update on the 22-year-old - though no official talks or negotiations are in place for his signature.
Slot 'admires' the France star, and he fits into the style of player that he would like to bring to Merseyside, which has seen them understand the conditions of a possible move even if it's a move to be done in the future.
Luke's contract runs until 2029, and so the Bundesliga side aren't under pressure for the time being, but a failure to secure European football means that some of their top stars are likely to depart in the summer transfer window - including Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko and Manchester United link Xavi Simons.
Lukeba has made 72 appearances for Leipzig in two years since moving from Lyon, racking up one goal for the German outfit - and that saw him make his France debut in October 2023.

RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko interested in Liverpool transfer
According to reports, Liverpool are eyeing a summer move for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. The interest is believed to be mutual, with the Premier League champions hoping to beat a host of clubs for his signature. The Reds have been heavily reliant on Mohamed Salah as a source of goals throughout the season, while Darwin Nunez is set for a move away from Anfield after three underwhelming seasons. According to DaveOCKOP, Nunez's departure could trigger a move for Sesko, with Arne Slot hoping to sign a new number nine ahead of next season. Sesko is said to be valued as highly as £84 million by the Germans, although the Reds are optimistic that they could get that price down with the Slovenian keen on a move to Anfield despite being linked to Arsenal.
