Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is quickly becoming known as happy to be straight to the point with his press conferences, and now with his squad too.
Earlier this season, the United manager boldly claimed that his squad was “one of the worst teams in the history of Manchester United”.
Now, Amorim has unleashed the same energy to one of his squad as he firmly announced “you better pray that you can find a club to sign you”.
The brutal declaration was directed at Alejandro Garnacho after his post-match interview following United’s Europa League loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

Ruben Amorim ends Alejandro Garnacho’s Manchester United career
In the post-match interview, Garnacho openly questioned Amorim’s decision to bench him saying: “Our season was s***. We didn’t beat anyone in the league. We lacked a lot of things. When you don’t score goals, you always need more.
“Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today – I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”
Now, The Daily Mail has reported that Amorim’s strong words to Garnacho, delivered in front of his teammates, very clearly called an end to Garnacho’s time at Old Trafford.
Whilst the club have refused to comment on the event, Amorim told the media: “everything I have to say, I say it to the players”, effortlessly signalling the finality of his words.
Garnacho has joined the rest of the United team on their mini-tour of Asia, playing in Malaysia and Hong Kong, however it looks likely we’ve already seen the last time Garnacho will don the United shirt at Old Trafford.
