In the end, there were celebrations at Molineux on the final day of the 2024/25 season for Wolves fans.
Weeks earlier, Wanderers secured their Premier League safety, and since doing that supporters have been able to relax.
Wolves haven’t finished the season particularly well results-wise, with three losses and a draw after that fantastic six-game winning streak.
While that poor run has cost Wolves a few million pounds in terms of league prize money, most fans are just happy with survival and to see the back of the 2024/25 campaign.
Wolves will now get down to business shaping their squad for 2024/25.
And one man who likely won’t be in that squad next season is Pablo Sarabia, who was the subject of a seemingly harsh decision on Sunday.

Pereira went strong in Wolves’ final game against Brentford.
Clearly, the Wolves manager was keen to avoid finishing with four defeats in a row, and wanted to win the game.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Wolves played well for the most part. They certainly did a lot better than the last time they faced the Bees.
But there was to be no appearance for Sarabia at Molineux, despite the fact he could now be leaving the club.

Appearances – 77
Goals – 8
Assists – 12
Sarabia – like Nelson Semedo – is out of contract this summer and the expectation is that he will move on.
So with that in mind, it seems odd that Sarabia was not handed any minutes in that final game. Especially since he is a player Pereira has regularly turned to from the bench. And also especially after Pereira admitted publicly that Sarabia was a player he liked, hinting he wanted him to stay.
We know that Pereira doesn’t give out token minutes. But Sarabia is an experienced player, and Wolves were not even winning the game. So why he was overlooked is a bit of a mystery.
And it was somewhat similar to a situation that happened a couple of years ago.
Shades of Julen Lopetegui snubbing Raul Jimenez
It’s unclear why Sarabia did not get on against Brentford.
But there has been no word of any kind of injury. So seemingly, Pereira just didn’t want to use him.
It was somewhat reminiscent of the situation that happened a couple of years ago, when Raul Jimenez who was being strongly linked with an exit from the club at the time, was denied a chance to play in Wolves’ final game at Molineux in 2022/23 against Everton.

Jimenez was seen in tears as he and the players made their way around the stadium applauding the fans after the game.
Lopetegui’s decision over Jimenez that day was questionable to say the least, and many fans slammed the Spaniard for not at least giving him a few minutes.
It was a bit of a shame that Sarabia didn’t get a chance to play in Wolves’ last game against Brentford, but hopefully he felt the affection after the game from the fans afterwards, and knows he is appreciated for providing some amazing moments during his two-and-a-half years at the club.
