Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo has spoken about his season with Hansi Flick’s side after arriving for international duty with Uruguay.
The center-back helped Barca win three domestic trophies but struggled with injury and [was also linked with a move away during the winter transfer window](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/1/13/24342602/juventus-planning-50m-offer-to-barcelona-for-ronald-araujo).
Araujo says missing a large chunk of the season through injury was hard for him to take.
> “Being out of action for so long really messed me up. I always want to play. I’ve always played since I arrived at Barcelona, and when you don’t play, you lose a little confidence,” he told reporters.

> “But that’s part of the journey. I’m playing for one of the best clubs in the world and I’m one of the team’s captains.

> “I’m happy to be here again and happy with all the titles we won this season. Personally, I don’t think it was a great season, especially because of the injury; it pretty much killed me. I was out for a while, but I’m happy because I’ve got three titles under my belt.”
