Steelers Target Aaron Rodgers Praises Former Coach

There has been a lot of attention on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers so far this offseason, so the veteran quarterback was surely relieved to be able to celebrate his former college coach receiving a massive honor.

On a recent post on their X account, the California Golden Bears announced former head coach Jeff Tedford as a 2025 Hall of Fame inductee, who was with the program from 2002 to 2012.

Rodgers took to his Instagram to react to the news, and posted the picture of his former coach with a simple goat emoji, as he naturally thinks Tedford is one of the greatest coaches ever.

In the 11 seasons he was at the helm for the Golden Bears, Tedford only led them to two losing seasons, and they were both in his final three season with the team.

Rodgers clearly liked playing for Tedford, as he finished his two seasons at Cal with 5,469 passing yards and 43 touchdowns with just 13 interceptions. He was also able to lead the Pac-10 Conference in completion percentage with 66.1 percent in 2004.

This led to him being selected by the Green Bay Packers with the 24th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft.

And the rest is history.

Rodgers would not be where he is today without the coaching of Tedford, and he will be commemorated for that later this year during the college football season.

The legendary Golden Bears coach will be honored during Cal's game against North Carolina on Friday, October 17th.
