Forward Antony has enjoyed a resurgence on loan at Real Betis, and the Spanish club are reportedly considering a permanent move for the Brazilian winger.
The 25-year-old has scored nine goals and provided five assists in all competitions — his best return since the 2021/22 season.
While his form could not help Betis secure Champions League qualification, it has been crucial to their run to the Europa Conference League final.
They face Chelsea in the competition’s final at the Stadion Miejski on Wednesday evening.
If Betis win the title, Man United will be entitled to €365,000 — a fee included as a bonus clause in the loan agreement, according to ABC de Sevilla.
United and the Spanish side had agreed on several bonuses for the Brazil international’s performance.
The Red Devils are already entitled to €150,000 as Betis qualified for the Europa League via La Liga, and Anthony played more than half of the league games, which is the other condition of the clause.
Betis are expected to be pay the bonuses before July 10.
Antony played a key role in the semi-finals, scoring in both legs against Fiorentina, and hopes to repeat his heroics in the final to help Betis win their first-ever European title.
The Brazilian joined United from Ajax for £85 million in 2022 but has struggled to meet expectations at Old Trafford.
He has admitted he ‘could have done more in a United shirt,’ having registered just 12 goals and five assists since joining the Red Devils.
Now a key figure in Pellegrini’s set-up, Antony has rediscovered his confidence in Spain.
Pellegrini has praised the left-footed forward, revealing that the winger told him he ‘needed a bit of revenge’ before making the switch to Estadio Benito Villamarin.
However, securing a permanent deal for Antony could be challenging for the La Liga side, as United reportedly value him at around £40 million. They would have to shatter their transfer record to sign him.
