Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Haason Reddick raised some eyebrows on Tuesday, as he opted to skip the first OTA of the team's offseason program.
Reddick is coming off a tumultuous tenure with the New York Jets, the team he joined via trade from the Philadelphia Eagles. Reddick's desire to get a new contract put him in a complex position with the AFC East squad.
He missed almost two months of competition and returned in Week 8 of the 2024 season against the New England Patriots.
Although his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha said that Reddick intended to stay with the Jets for "many years to come" upon his return, he ended up spending only one season at MetLife Stadium.
His behavior didn't do him any favors and the veteran ended up leaving New York to sign with the defending NFC South champions, the Buccaneers, on a one-year, $14 million deal.

Pro Football Talk reported on Tuesday that, when other players started attending OTAs, Reddick wasn't present.
This decision sparked reactions from fans, who called him out on X, implying he was acting the same way he did in the past.
"Remember when everyone thought Howie was crazy for not resigning this guy," one fan tweeted.
"Nobody hates their job more," another fan tweeted.
"Unserious football player," a third fan tweeted.
Back in March, Reddick seemed ecstatic to join the Buccaneers. He was ready to move on from the Jets and help Tampa Bay compete.
"It's a fresh start," Reddick said during his introductory press conference. "I know everybody's worried about last year, but last year was last year. I'm here now, different mindset, different space. I'm just ready to put the past behind me and continue to move forward. And what better place to do that than right here?"
The OTAs are voluntary, but some fans have taken a more serious approach to this part of the offseason. Considering all things that happened with Reddick last year, fans want him to be fully committed from the very beginning.
