Aaron Rodgers will always be remembered as a member of the Green Bay Packers. His two years with the New York Jets coupled with his (possible) year or two with the Pittsburgh Steelers won’t change that.
However, one recent statement from him didn’t sit right with Packers fans whatsoever.
Aaron Rodgers Just Completely Disrespected The Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers is still contemplating his future. Regardless of where he ends his career, Green Bay Packers fans will forever associate him with the team:
Rodgers spent 18 seasons in Green Bay before joining the New York Jets in 2023. Now a free agent, the 41-year-old has yet to publicly reveal his 2025 plans amid speculation of him joining the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Without many concrete updates, observers turned to a Q&A session Rodgers held last week at a concert in Austin, Texas. Rodgers ruled out the possibility of playing for the New Orleans Saints and hinted at a potential Pittsburgh pairing.
A fan also asked Rodgers about retiring with the Packers. Since the notion of returning to back up Jordan Love appears highly unlikely, Rodgers interpreted the question to mean whether he’d sign an honorary one-day contract.
“I’ve thought about that, and I don’t understand what the reason for that is,” Rodgers said.
However, Rodgers noted that he grew up seeing Jerry Rice and others take that ceremonial route to retire with the San Francisco 49ers. The four-time MVP wouldn’t dismiss the idea.

“I understand the cool thing about it,” Rodgers continued. “But if I didn’t do it, would that make a difference in how I’m viewed in the Packers’ eyes? When I retire, in four years I’m gonna go into the Packer Hall of Fame. May or not get my number retired. Whether I do or not, that’s fine.”
Rodgers added that he harbors no animosity toward Green Bay and would consider retiring as a Packer if the organization offered.
“There’s a lot of love from me and how I feel about the team,” he said. “If I do or if I don’t, I don’t think it should make a difference. I’m not sure yet. If they approach me about it, I probably would.”
First, Rodgers must decide if these scenarios must wait another year. He remains unsigned as the Steelers start voluntary offseason activities on Tuesday, and they begin mandatory minicamp on June 10.

Aaron Rodgers spent nearly two decades with the Packers. Won the Super Bowl, broke numerous records, and will go down as one of the greatest to ever put on the Green and Gold uniform. Retiring as a member of the team should be no doubter.
