Leicester City have today confirmed the departure of 11 players following their relegation from the Premier League this season.
The Foxes bid farewell to legendary striker Jamie Vardy earlier this month, a 2-0 home win against Ipswich Town marking the end of his 13-year association with the club.
In poetic fashion, he marked his last game at the King Power with his 200th Leicester City goal, in what was his 500th appearance for the club.
Throughout his illustrious career with the Foxes, Vardy won two Sky Bet Championship titles, a Community Shield, and an FA Cup - on top of the club's historic fairytale Premier League win in the 2015/16 season.
His story with Leicester City ended as more of a tragedy than a fairytale, however, as the Foxes succumbed to their lowest-ever Premier League points tally, 25, confirming their relegation back to the second tier.
Vardy made his feelings on the season abundantly clear just days before announcing his decision to leave the club, saying: "No words I have can ever express my feelings of anger and sadness with the way this season has gone. There are no excuses," on social media.
"This season has been nothing but miserable and for me personally, a total embarrassment. To the fans: I'm sorry. Sorry we haven't performed, and sorry we end the 2025 season with such a s**t show."
Double goalkeeping departure
Alongside Vardy, two other first-team stars are set to depart the King Power next month, with Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen not penning new deals with the club.
Ward joined Leicester in 2018 and made 53 appearances for the club, despite rarely being first-choice under any manager.
While his playing time was limited, the 31-year-old is highly regarded among Foxes' supporters, in large part due to his instrumental role in four penalty shootout victories during his time with the club.
Iversen joined two years before Ward, in 2016, but featured on just 15 occasions for the first team.
Throughout his time at the club, the Dane went out on loan six times, to Oldham Athletic, Rotherham United, OH Leuven, Preston North End and, most recently, Stoke City.
Ours until 2029. 😍
We're delighted to announce Daniel Iversen will join us on a four-year deal from 1st July.#pnefc

It was confirmed earlier on Tuesday that the 27-year-old has now signed a permanent deal with the Lilywhites, which will take effect from July.
Youngster set for exit
Aside from the three senior players, Leicester also confirmed that eight junior pros would be departing the club upon the expiry of their contracts.
Those players include: Oliver Ewing, Harvey Godsmark-Ford, Ben Grist, Deniche Hill, Liam McAlinney, Arjan Raikhy, Joe Wormleighton and Brad Young.
The club added: "All leave with the heartfelt thanks of everybody at Leicester City for their contributions during their time at King Power Stadium, as well as our best wishes for the next chapters in their careers."
