Shaquille O'Neal recently recorded a snippet of "The Big Podcast with Shaq" alongside his co-host Adam Lefkoe.
In the short video, the two discussed their predictions for NBA Finals MVP. There are currently four teams remaining in the race to the NBA Finals: the Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves.
While explaining his prediction for Finals MVP, O'Neal virtually picked his winner of the Eastern Conference Finals.
O'Neal believes Karl-Anthony Towns will win the Finals MVP, seemingly putting the New York Knicks over the Indiana Pacers in the ECF, despite NY being down 2-1 in the series.
"Who do I got winning this Finals MVP?" O'Neal said. "I'm going to go with, and go New York, go New York go. Go the Kat man. Meow."
According to ESPN BET, Karl-Anthony Towns has 40-1 odds to win the NBA Finals MVP.
Before facing the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, the New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons and the Boston Celtics in the postseason.
They took down the Pistons 4-2 in the first round of the playoffs and followed that with a 4-2 series win over the Celtics in the second round.
If the Knicks were to defeat the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, they would face the winner of a matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals.
