In March 2020, Shannon reflected on their love story in a heartfelt Instagram tribute in honor of Josh's 25th birthday, sharing photos from the early days of their relationship and more recent ones.
"From meeting you in 10th grade when we were only 15...to college...to you being drafted...to now. The years have really flew by but we have literally been through everything together (almost half our lives 😳)," she wrote. "I wouldn’t change this journey with you for the world and I hope you have the most amazing day ever."
Years later, the pair got married in August 2021. In honor of their second wedding anniversary, Josh shared a photo of the two on Instagram in August 2023, writing, "2 years in and there is no one I’d rather have by my side."

According to Shannon's bio on X, she attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she also played soccer. Per the official roster, the Greenbelt, Md., native majored in health administration and public policy.
She went on to attend the University of Maryland School of Nursing, per her X bio. In December 2019, Josh shared photos from her graduation on Instagram, writing, "Congrats on graduating nursing school and cheers to new beginnings 🥂!"
Shannon began officially working as a nurse in September 2020, according to her Instagram.

In March 2019, Shannon shared an Instagram birthday post for Josh in which she reflected on their years-long relationship, writing, "We have been through everything possible and I wouldn’t trade it for the world."

In December 2020, Shannon announced in an Instagram post that Josh had proposed, writing, "CANT BELIEVE IM ENGAGED!! 🥺🥺🥺 @jhart did amazing 😍😍😍."
After he popped the question, the former New Orleans Pelicans player opened up to Southern Bride about the proposal, saying, "I was cool, calm, and collected."
"I knew what I was going to say when I got to the gazebo, but what I didn’t think of was that 15-20 second walk to get there. I almost slipped up saying, 'Your mom and brother are coming here' and I’m like, 'I’m an idiot,' " he recalled. Josh and Shannon became parents on May 12, 2023, when they welcomed their twin sons, Hendrix Aaron and Haze Dana.
Two months later, the NBA star shared photos on Instagram of his newborn babies, including one of them wearing New York Knicks jerseys over their diapers.
