The Tennessee Titans had several great seasons in the late 2010s and early 2020s. Led by head coaches Mike Mularkey and Mike Vrabel, the team qualified for four postseasons in a span of five years.
While players like Derrick Henry, A.J. Brown and quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and Ryan Tannehill got most of the national notoriety, the team was stacked with players at every level.
One of those notable players was safety Kevin Byard, who came to Tennessee by way of a third-round draft pick in 2016. He played over seven seasons for the Titans before being traded during the 2023 season.

On Monday, Byard spoke with Coral Smith from NFL.com about his potential retirement plans. While nothing is imminent, it may not be long until the Titans great hangs up the cleats.
"This thing is year-to-year and honestly, it's probably going to be year-to-year for the rest of my career until I'm done playing," Byard said. "Regardless of whatever kind of contract I signed, this is always going to be year-to-year."
While it may be difficult for Titans fans to see this legendary franchise figure call it a career sometime soon, it is important to reflect on all he brought to the organization. He was a two-time First-Team All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowl honoree during his career in Tennessee.
He had 674 tackles and 27 interceptions in 120 career games with the franchise, and he never missed a single game. Byard started in every game for the Titans since 2017, leaving a legacy in Tennessee along the way.
