Barcelona are keen to continue strengthening their squad fresh off their LaLiga title win, beating defending champions Real Madrid by four points.
The Spanish side are looking to the future, with several of their stars now entering the final year of their contract, needing long-term replacements to be identified.
Of their senior squad, Andreas Christensen, Eric Garcia, Frenkie de Jong and Robert Lewandowski are four key players set to have only a year left on their contract if Barca don’t hold negotiations to extend them further.
As such, Barcelona are continuing to hold an interest in on of Manchester United’s star men as a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Barcelona make contact for Marcus Rashford
Matteo Moretto has reported that Barca are continuing to keep tabs on Marcus Rashford, having had recent contact for the attacker.
Whilst the report doesn’t explain if these contacts are internal talks or with United or Rashford’s team, Moretto explains that both Deco and manager Hansi Flick admire Rashford a lot and are keen to bring him to Spain.
The England international is available this summer for a transfer fee of £40 million, however, it’s previously been reported that Rashford is refusing to take a cut to his £325,000 per week wage.
This major financial burden is a barrier that has led to most of Europe’s elite walking away from their interest in the United man, and led Aston Villa to only be able to make his loan spell permanent if they qualified for Champions League football.
Unfortunately with a 2-0 loss to United on the final day of the Premier League, Villa fell to a Europa League spot, making a move for Rashford unfeasible.
Now, Rashford faces an uncertain future where remaining at Old Trafford looks unlikely but could still be on the cards.
