To close out the 2025 NFL season, Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce watched as his former team got revenge on his brother Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
In his first year away from playing football (2024), Jason Kelce transitioned to a role as an analyst with ESPN, while Travis Kelce continued with the Chiefs for his 12th NFL season.
Even with their busy schedules, the brothers have continued their podcast "New Heights," which they launched ahead of the 2022 season and still release weekly episodes to this day.
On Tuesday, the Kelce brothers announced the next guest for their podcast, revealing NHL legend Wayne Gretzky will be on the show.
"The Great One deserves a truly great introduction ð¥," New Heights wrote on X. "TOMORROW. WAYNE GRETZKY."
Gretzky, best known for his time with the Edmonton Oilers, is widely regarded as the greatest hockey player of all time. Between 1979 and 1999, he won four Stanley Cups and a record nine NHL MVP awards. He also held the record for most goals in NHL history with 894, a mark that stood until 2025, when Alex Ovechkin surpassed it.
Still, NFL fans were not happy with Jason and Travis Kelce's decision to bring Gretzky on to the podcast, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
"Love you guys, but catch you next week. I will be skipping this one," one fan claimed.
"Hard pass," wrote a second.
"It was bound to happen. Travis and Jason have stated multiple times they wanted him. Lets just get it out the way and move it along," added another.
"Wish it wasn’t Wayne but I’ll take a hockey guest," said a fourth.
"(Expletive) disgusting," posted a fifth.
"He sucks," added a sixth.

The Gretzky episode will release on Wednesday morning.
