The Kansas City Chiefs took a big step in their preparations for the new season on Tuesday. This is after the team called their players back to their training facility for the first day of Official Team Activities, or OTAs.
The Chiefs took to Instagram to share a couple of videos of the players arriving at the facility for their first session of the year. This included superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who headed into the building wearing a matching light beige pullover hoodie and pants.
The video drew a lot of reactions from Chiefs fans on social media, and more than a few of them focused on the fact that Mahomes is now entering his ninth year in the NFL. Fans just couldn't believe that time had come by so fast.
"Legit cannot believe he’s been in the league 9 years ð®ð®ð®" a comment on Instagram read.
"Wtf it's been almost a decade of Mahomes," said another.
"Year 9 already is crazy ð®" a user posted

"Ain't no way it's already been 9 years ð" a reaction read.
"No way it’s really year 9… wowza," another said.
"Year NINE?! ð³" wrote a fan.
The Chiefs drafted Mahomes in 2017 as the tenth overall pick. As one of the comments indicated, the 29-year-old is now nearing a decade in the NFL.
Mahomes is no spring chicken, and there's no way to tell if the two-time AP Most Valuable Player has another decade of football left in him. This is exactly why fans should appreciate his greatness while they still can.
Mahomes' first eight seasons practically flew by, and before we know it, the former Texas Tech star is going to be entering the twilight years of what has been an iconic NFL career.
