Steelers Legend Terry Bradshaw Blasts 'Joke' Aaron Rodgers

The Pittsburgh Steelers legend with four Super Bowl rings has had it up to here with the team's potential starting quarterback boasting four NFL MVPs.

On a day when new star receiver DK Metcalf didn't show up for OTAs - likely because he doesn't feel urgency to mesh with alternatives Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and Will Howard - Steelers icon Terry Bradshaw echoed growing fan sentiment by airing his frustration on the prolonged waiting for Aaron Rodgers.

Since mid-March when 2024 starter Russell Wilson signed with the New York Giants it's been assumed that Rodgers would sign with Pittsburgh this season. But more than two months later and now into on-field activities, here we are.

While head coach Mike Tomlin and the organization have given Rodgers time and owner Art Rooney promised in April "he does want to come here," Bradshaw's patience has officially run out.

"That's a joke," Bradshaw said on 103.7 The Buzz Tuesday morning. "That is to me just a joke. What are you going to do? Bring him in for one year? Are you kidding me?"

The prevailing thinking is that the Steelers have a "handshake agreement" with the 41-year-old Rodgers. But last year he helped sabotage the New York Jets by skipping OTAs to instead vacation in Egypt.

Bradshaw, like many Steelers fans, is beginning to believe Rodgers simply isn't worth the headache.

"That guys needs to stay in California," Bradshaw said. "Go somewhere and chew on bark. Whisper to the gods out there. ... You get in his presence and you feel like it's about to start snowing."

Rodgers has a Super Bowl ring, countless NFL passing records, the four MVPs and a red-carpet path to the Hall of Fame in Canton.

He does not, however, have the backing of the greatest quarterback in Steelers history.
