Ex Eagles All-Pro Skipping OTAs With New Team

Three years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles were totally comfortable to see All-Pro edge rusher Haason Reddick sit out of OTAs in hopes of securing a new contract.

Now, three years later, Reddick's career hangs in the balance. And he's no longer Philly's problem to deal with.

After signing a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason, the expectation was that the former Pro Bowler would be focused on doing everything he could to get back to that elite play he was once known for.

That doesn't appear to be the case. Reddick has not shown up to Buccaneers camp for OTAs.

“I’m sure one of these days we’ll see him,” Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said on Tuesday.

This is not the first time that Reddick has pulled a stunt like this. He's sat out of OTA practices in each of the last three years for three different organizations.

Last offseason, Reddick appeared ready to hold out from Philly to get a lucrative deal. The organization chose, instead, to trade him to the New York Jets.

With Gang Green, Reddick was a no-show for all practices and games until the midway point of the 2024 season. He lost millions of dollas in a public feud with the organization.

Once, Reddick was looking to be paid over $25 million per year on an extension.

The issue? He simply hasn't wanted to work for it on the field.

He didn't with the Eagles. Nor with the Jets. Now, it seems he's pulling the same stunt with the Buccaneers.
