Manchester United vs ASEAN All-Stars, May 28 – LRT Bukit Jalil operations extended to 12.30 am tonight

Manchester United is in town! The English football giants will take on the ASEAN All Stars in the Maybank Challenge Cup 2025 friendly match, a good chance for the Red Devils to lift a ‘trophy’ in what has been a wretched season where they finished 15th in the league and lost the Europa League final to Spurs, which means no European football next season.

The match happens tonight (May 28) at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, and it is anticipated that a large crowd will show up to watch their favourite team (not ASEAN All Stars). As usual with big football matches, Rapid KL will cater to fans with extended LRT operation hours.

The rail operator says that LRT Ampang/Sri Petaling Line operations from the Bukit Jalil LRT station will be extended tonight till 12.30 am. The match kicks off at 8.45 pm. All connecting stations will also have extended hours.

Rapid KL reminds riders to use Touch n Go cards and ensure that there’s sufficient credit. Fans from abroad can buy the MyCity Pass that offers unlimited rides on all Rapid KL rail and bus services – it’s great value at RM10 for one day, RM18 for two days and RM25 for three days (cheaper for Malaysians, enquire at train stations).

MU fans, enjoy the match! Glory, glory!
