All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as they prepare to begin their business.

Arsenal will already be working on their recruitment plan for the summer after closing out their season on Sunday. The Gunners finished second this season, and they know they must go one better next term after what will likely be another summer of big spending.

The Gunners board have backed Arteta throughout his time at the club, but success and silverware is going to expected going forward after a season without any trophies. Arteta will go into this summer knowing that, and with the help of new sporting director Andrea Berta, the Spaniard will be working to improve the current squad.

A new striker is going to be required, and the Gunners are also going to need a winger, with depth also likely to be added in other areas. It’s going to be an expensive summer for the Gunners, and as they look to get their business up and running over the coming weeks, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Gyokeres latest

Arsenal have reportedly sent some of their representatives to meet with Viktor Gyokeres’ agent Hasan Cetinkaya. That’s according to Correio da Manha, who say Arsenal have offered £58.6 million to sign the striker from Sporting CP, while it’s also reported that the striker has been offered £5.8million per season and a £10million signing on bonus.

Gyokeres is likely to have his pick of a number of clubs this summer, with a number of Premier League and other clubs said to be interested. Arsenal need a striker as much as anyone, as was made clear this season, and it seems they are willing to dedicate serious resources to making the deal happen.

Millot boost

Reported Arsenal target has reportedly told current club Stuttgart that he wants to leave the club amid speculation aplenty heading into this season. Bild have reported that Millot has called time on his time at the club, hoping to seize upon building transfer interest.

It’s claimed Arsenal, or indeed any other interested club, will have to pay £16.7million to secure a deal. The 22-year-old is a midfielder who can also play as an attacker, and the France youth international has a big future having scored 11 goals and made 89 league appearances for the German club so far.

MLS concern

Journalist Jonathan Wilson has expressed concern over the contract talks between Arsenal and Myles Lewis-Skelly. he said on the Guardian Sport’s ‘Football Weekly’: “I think they need a holding midfielder especially if Thomas Partey leaves which seems likely-ish, or certainly a strong possibility. They need someone to sit next to Declan Rice — he’s best when he’s got a bit of freedom to get forward.

“They’ve got to sort out Myles Lewis-Skelly’s contract which expires next summer and I think talks have not been going well from what I hear and Real Madrid are sort of sniffing around there. Imagine Real Madrid wanting a highly-rated Premier League fullback for free, almost unimaginable isn’t it?”
