Leeds United could have an advantage in the race to sign Sheffield United star Gustavo Hamer.
Daniel Farke is set to be backed in the transfer market after he secured promotion back to the Premier League.
The Elland Road outfit needs reinforcements if they are to avoid the same fate as Southampton, Ipswich Town and Leicester, who all came straight back down after one season in the top-flight.
Hamer notched nine goals and seven assists in 41 matches in the second tier and has previously featured in the top division, where he also put up impressive numbers.

Leeds get Hamer boost as agent twist emerges
The Whites are desperate for competition for Brenden Aaronson in the number 10 role, as the American has not particularly impressed this season and Hamer would fit the bill.
MORE LEEDS STORIES
A report from the Yorkshire Evening Post (27 May) claims that the Championship Player of the Season award winner, is represented by the same Leeds-supporting agent as Jayden Bogle.
The Whites’ interest in the Blades star was broken by talkSPORT earlier in the day, and the report claimed that the Sheffield outfit are resigned to losing their star man.
49ers chief Paraag Marathe has made a vow to invest in the squad this summer to give Farke the best chance to keep his side in the division, he said: “Together, we are going to build the best squad we can, with every penny we are allowed to spend to be competitive in the Premier League.
“We are going to attack the transfer market and it’s something I’m really excited about.”

Hamer should make Leeds move
It would be a brilliant move if the Peacocks could tempt Hamer to join them as he has already shown that he can perform in the top-flight on a regular basis.
Hamer is capable of driving forward wth the ball at his feet, scoring from all areas and playing line-breaking balls, he would bring a much-needed creativity to Farke’s side that Aaronson does not provide consistently enough.
The Brazil-born ace is far too good to be playing in the EFL again next season, he deserves to showcase his talents in and around elite players.
It would also be devastating for Blades supporters and Chris Wilder to lose him to the Peacocks, so there is every reason for Marathe and Co to pursue a deal.
