If you were in Philadelphia back in 2018 for the International Champions Cup, you got a chance to see a young goalkeeper named Ron-Thorben Hoffmann man the position in between the sticks vs. Juventus.
Since, then Hoffmann, who always has good potential, has played for Schalke 04 and Eintracht Braunschweig, where he is currently on loan. In an important relegation battle, Hoffmann came up big per Magenta TV’s Victor Catalina:
Former Bayern goalkeeper Thorben Hoffmann with an immense performance, several incredible saves and an assist for the 2-2 equaliser in extra time kept Eintracht Braunschweig in Bundesliga 2. Saarbrücken, playing with 10 men in extra time, stay in 3. Liga. #FCBayern ⚪️
It is always good to see a former Bayern Munich academy player make an impact.
