Matheus Cunha has reportedly made a bold demand during contract negotiations regarding a move to Manchester United.
Cunha, 26, has been heavily linked with a potential move to Man United for some time, with BBC Sport reporting that the two parties are closing in on an agreement with regards to personal terms.
The report suggests that United will need to comply with specific terms, such as paying the full £62.5m by the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
The first amount of £20.8m will be paid when the deal is agreed, the second at the end of the 2025/26 season and the third instalment by the summer of 2027.

Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Brentford was more than likely the player’s final game for the Midlands side, and after the match, he posted a statement to social media.
Cunha wrote: "Individually, it was the best season of my life. All of this was only possible because of all the dedication and love I have for this club.
"I became the Brazilian with the most goals in a Premier League season, along with Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Martinelli.
"I made mistakes and got things right, but always because I lived this club so much. All I ever wanted was to do the impossible for Wolves. Another one is over. And thank you for all the affection."
According to talkSPORT, Cunha has ‘demanded’ the number ten jersey at Old Trafford, which has been worn by the likes of Wayne Rooney, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, and most recently Marcus Rashford.

With Rashford, 27, seemingly set to leave his boyhood club, following a successful loan spell at Aston VIlla, Cunha may be set to get his wish.
On Tuesday evening (May 27), The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported that “Manchester United have made contact with Wolverhampton Wanderers to submit an opening offer to sign Matheus Cunha this summer”.
Ornstein also claims that United have asked to pay the transfer fee over five years rather than Wolves’ requested two.
