Manchester United's dire form this season has cost them well over a £100million as Ruben Amorim is tasked with reviving their fortunes. Last term the club finished eighth - which has a new low in the Premier League - but they surpassed that for all the wrong reasons this year.
Europe had proved to be a welcome respite for the manager and the players. They went unbeaten for 14 games en route to the final, but losing to Tottenham denied them the chance to make the Champions League and land the £100m of revenue it would've bought them.
Their lowly league position means they won't play in Europe whatsoever, denying them even more revenue. The win over Aston Villa on the final day saw them ultimately end up in 15th and just exceed the 40-point mark.
However due to finishing in the bottom half they landed just £16.9m in prize money. That is compared to the £40m they scooped for ending in eight last year under Erik ten Hag.
So across Amorim's tenure he's watched the club miss out on £120m in prize money and other sources of revenue as the Manchester outfit call to arguably their lowest ebb in more than three decades.

Failing to make Europe has also left United needing to pay kit manufacturer Adidas a fee given they won't be on the European stage. They need to fork out £10m given they'll go two years without Champions League football - which breaches their agreement.
Amorim now needs to lead an overhaul this summer with a number of players expected to depart Old Trafford. He will also need several players to arrive if his philosophy, which has so fair failed to have a positive impact, is to bear fruit in England.

He addressed supporters on the final day, apologising for their unwanted year as he said: “I want to apologise for this season. I know you are really disappointed with me and with the team. The second thing I want to say is thank-you. We are very grateful for your support during the season, which I know was really bad.
“It was really hard in many games, but now, for me, we have to make a choice – stay stuck in the past - because this season is in the past, it's over. We fight each other or we stick together and move forward. Six months ago, in my first three games in charge, with two victories and one draw, I said to you the storm is coming,
“Today, after this disastrous season, I want to tell you - the good days are coming. If there is one club in the word that can overcome any situation, any disaster it is our club, Manchester United. I also want to say thank-you to my players. Sometimes I am not fair, but always I try to be honest with you. Thank-you very much, see you next season.”
