Real Betis and Chelsea are set to clash in the UEFA Conference League final on Wednesday evening.
With the 2024/25 La Liga and Premier League seasons now concluded, both clubs have one last chance to secure silverware before the summer transfer window, having failed to shine domestically. Regardless of the outcome at Stadion Wroclaw, Betis will be playing Europa League football next season after securing a sixth-place finish in La Liga.
Nevertheless, Los Verdiblancos remain hopeful of clinching this year's Conference League title after overcoming tough competition to reach the final. After ending up 15th in the group stage of the tournament, Betis triumphed over Gent, Vitoria SC, Jagiellonia, and Fiorentina to earn a challenging face-off with Chelsea.
Under the leadership of Enzo Maresca in his debut season as manager, Chelsea, meanwhile, secured fourth place in the Premier League, ensuring their participation in the Champions League in 2025/26, regardless of Wednesday's result. However, having missed out on FA Cup and League Cup success, the Blues will be eager to claim some form of silverware as a testament to their efforts this season.
Chelsea topped the group table in the Conference League and advanced directly to the round of 16, meaning they've played one less round than Betis to reach the final. After wins over Copenhagen, Legia Warszawa, and Djurgarden, the Premier League titans are eyeing another victory against their La Liga rivals.
