Tell us what you made of Newcastle United's season - and hopes for the summer
Admit it, who really saw this coming last August as the transfer window closed without Newcastle United making a single major transfer signing? If anything, the Magpies' squad was weaker following the enforced transfer exits of Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh.
Fast forward nine months and Eddie Howe has led his side back into the Champions League, with the Carabao Cup firmly in the tophy cabinet and memories made for a liftetime.
It's been an incredible season for Newcastle and one they hope to build on with an exciting summer in the transfer window.
Paul Mitchell's departure has caused understandable concern over United's ability to get deals done in the short-term, but the Magpies are confident it will be business as usual behind the scenes.
Looking back over the last season, there have been some incredible highs. The Carabao Cup run and those two sem-final wins over Arsenal, and then of course the final itself against Liverpool.
In the Premier League, United had a winter to remember, with December and January seeing them transform their fortunes and set up a strong end to the campaign.
They completed league doubles of Man United and Nottingham Forest, beat Arsenal and Chelsea at St James', and held champions new and old in Liverpool and Manchester City.
So with one eye on the past and one on the future, it's time to give your verdict on the season just gone and what needs to happen next.
What do United need to do in the summer transfer window - how many signings must they make and which positions should they target?
Then there's the small matter of the Champions League. After Aston Villa and Arsenal's success in recent months, should United be looking to make progress into the late knockout stages?
