A baby boy miraculously escaped serious injury after being dragged 15ft in his pram when a parade car ploughed into a crowd during Liverpool's title-winning celebration.

The infant's father, Daniel Eveson, feared he had "thought he had lost everything" when the Ford Galaxy crashed into spectators, including his family, during the ill-fated Reds' victory parade on Monday. The impact sent little Teddy flying down the road, while Daniel's partner was trapped under the wheel of the vehicle.

However, it has now been confirmed that the infant avoided any major physical injuries. A kind-hearted bystander from a nearby restaurant rushed to ensure Teddy was safe and then cared for the baby while Daniel attended to his partner.

What should have been a joyous occasion celebrating Liverpool's second Premier League win turned into the "worst day" of his life. The Reds fan said: "To me looking and finding his pram. To not knowing if he was alive. To seeing him alive. It was a lot to take on... I thought I had lost everything, I really did.", reports the Mirror.

Teddy was "chucked about 15ft down the road" in his pram. It is believed he stayed inside the buggy, which cushioned him from further impacts.

He reportedly did not require hospital treatment.

Speaking to the BBC, Daniel from Telford, Shropshire, shared his harrowing experience: "I don't honestly believe I will be able to go to a parade or celebration like that ever again. Because there will always be that fear in the back of my mind that anything can happen and we might not be in control."

In total, about 50 individuals, including children, were injured, as confirmed by emergency services. As of Tuesday afternoon, 11 victims remained hospitalised with various injuries.

A 53-year-old man was apprehended on Monday under suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving and drug driving. The individual, hailing from West Derby, Liverpool, is currently being held in police custody where he has undergone questioning.

Merseyside Constabulary believes the man, identified as a white British citizen, was behind the wheel of the car, which reportedly managed to tail an ambulance through a temporarily lifted roadblock as it responded to a heart attack case.

However, Merseyside Police Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims stood by the policing strategy during the parade, assuring journalists that the force had prepared for "all contingencies", which included implementing road closures and deploying armed officers.

Another Liverpool fan recounted their brush with danger during the Reds' title-winning parade, feeling fortunate to have made it out alive. Jack Trotter was hospitalised overnight following a terrifying incident where he was hit by a car.

As the vehicle charged into a crowd, over 50 people, including Jack, were in need of medical attention at various hospitals in Liverpool. Recounting the ordeal, Jack said: "When it sort of got to my level, the car had slowed down and I put my hands up, sort of to protect myself but also to try to say to him 'stop.'".
